Chassis:
Completed in May of 1973, this Homologation specification RS 2.7 was delivered new to the Dutch distributor Ben Pon. The car was quickly turned around and through Pon's friend Vasek Polak, it was sold to its first private owner. The Texan defaulted on his purchase loan and it was repossessed by the bank. The next custodian was John Paul Sr., who used the RSH in autocross events and some races with his son John Paul Jr. It was then sold to Oregon where one of its subsequent owners was noted dealer and collector Monte Shelton. He sold the car to Mark Heininge in 1985, who enjoyed the car for a decade. Chassis 911 360 1382 was then bought by Seattle based collector John McCaw. He entrusted the car to Bruce Canepa for a complete restoration. Since then, the car has changed hands twice again, before it was consigned to the RM Sotheby's Private Treaty department, in the fall of 2021. The asking price was $1,550,000.
