Through Olivier Quesnel, this BX 4TC was acquired directly from Citroën by French publisher Michel Hommell. One of just a handful Evolution models to have survived, this example was proudly displayed by Hommell in his Lohéac museum for many years. In October of 2021, it was consigned to the Artcurial Automobiles sur les Champs sale along with several other legendary rally cars from Hommell's collection. Ahead of the sale, the car was entrusted to Andruet once more: “I found the car to be as I remembered it, which was very uplifting. (...) The gearbox is very good, very smooth, even though the car has been in the museum all these years. That's quite surprising.”
