Chassis:
Finished in 'Le Mans Blue' with a black leather interior, this is understood to be the 72nd of a total of 281 XJ220s built. It was acquired new by noted Ferrari specialist Talacrest, who sold the car on to Hong Seh Motors Pte Limited in October of 1994. Although this was the Ferrari concessionaire in Singapore, Hong Seh had considerable experience with XJ220s as it had sold no fewer than six to the Sultan of Brunei. In 1996, it was registered for the road in Malaysia but remained in storage in Singapore. Still owned by Hong Seh and with barely any miles on the odometer, it was entrusted to specialists Don Law Racing for a full recommissioning in May of 2017. Among the work required was a full engine rebuilt, the replacement of the fuel system and a full respray. The work was completed in August of 2018 and three years later the odometer still only read 295 miles. It was then consigned by its second owner, Hong Seh Motors, to the RM Sotheby's London sale.
