Chassis:
Originally sold to Japan, this XJR-15 was equipped with a conventional five-speed manual gearbox. This was a reportedly a £30,000 option to make the car more suitable for road use. In 2014, chassis 021 was repatriated to the United Kingdom. In the most recent ownership since 2017, it was entrusted to Gordon England of Forest Custom and Classic for a recommissioning. With just 1,362 miles on the odometer, it was consigned to the RM Sotheby's Private Sales department with a £1,450,000 asking price.
