Chassis:
Featured is one of the two C27 chassis constructed, fitted with a custom body designed by Joseph Figoni. The beautiful machine is one of the very rare exceptions that were not bodied by the Voisin factory. The sporty two-door convertible was originally commissioned by the Shah of Persia and sported a striking yellow paint scheme with green accents. It was rediscovered many years later in a rather deplorable state and brought back to France in the 1980s. With the help of Claude Figoni, the unique machine received a complete restoration to a blue over black paint scheme.
Fully restored, the C27 Figoni Cabriolet was prominently featured in the French Auto Passion magazine in 1991. Sadly it was rarely seen since until 2006 when Voisin was the celebrated marque at Pebble Beach. The car's new American owner had it painted yellow again, but added black to the fenders, which to our knowledge, the car originally did not sport. He also refurbished the interior with spectacular brown leather. The Figoni bodied Voisin was awarded second in class, ahead of the other C27 constructed, but behind the C28 'Aerosport'.
