Chassis:
One of 15 IROC specification 911 Carrera RSR 3.0s built, this example was first raced at Riverside with Peter Revson behind the wheel. He finished fourth after starting 10th. It was later also raced by Gordon Johncock and A.J. Foyt, who was classified sixth in the Daytona round. The car was then sold to Canadian privateer racer Klaus Bytzek, who campaigned the car from 1976 through to the summer of 1980. Used extensively, it made several appearances at both Daytona and Sebring. Following its lengthy racing career, it was eventually restored to the configuration and colours used by Foyt at Daytona in February of 1974. As part of the Lloyd Hawkins Collection, it was consigned to the 2022 Gooding Amelia Island sale.
