Chassis:
Commissioned by a Dutch lawyer, this Bugatti Type 35B was completed in 1927. During the late 1930s, it moved to France and then spent several years in British hands. Its subsequent owners used the car at a variety of events from the early 1950s through to the early 1970s. The car moved to Belgium in 1975. The supercharged Bugatti remained in the same ownership for 47 years, before it was consigned to the 2022 Bonhams Monaco sale. At some point, the engine was replaced with a similar Type 35B specification engine from chassis 4944.
