Chassis:
First raced by Chris Amon at the 1971 South African Grand Prix this MS120 is reportedly chassis MS120-03 rebuilt. In MS120B guise, it was raced exclusively by Amon throughout the 1971 season. His best result was a third in the Spanish Grand Prix at Montjuich Park. Ahead of the 1972 season, it was rebuilt and renumbered MS120C-04. It served mainly as a spare but Amon raced it to sixth at Monaco and fourth at Brands Hatch. At the Austrian Grand Prix a young Niki Lauda also sampled the car in practice. Initially retained by Matra, this chassis was eventually sold to Antoine Raffaƫlli along with two other MS120s. He retained the car through to 2001 when it was acquired by Monegasque enthusiast. Now owned by a French historic racer and Matra collector, it is regularly campaigned in historic events.
