Chassis:
The 21st of 100 Bentley 8 Litres produced, this example was commissioned by a Mr. G. Smart. Fitted with a particularly attractive Coupe body built by Freestone & Webb, it was delivered new in June of 1931. In 1966, it passed to the second owner's son, F.M. Wilcock. He was an active member of the Bentley Driver's Club and used the car extensively. In 1968, Wilcock was clocked at over 108 mph on the highway near Ghent, Belgium. The car finally changed hands in 2002 and was then displayed by Lukas Hüni at the 2014 Retromobile. It subsequently joined a prominent American collection and was shown at the 2019 Chantilly Concours d'Elegance where it won 'Best of Show.'
