Chassis:
The last Viper built by Oreca in 2001, this example was rented to Jack Leconte's Larbre team for the Spa 24 Hours. Driven by Patrice Gouselard, Sébastien Dumez and Sébastien Bourdais, chassis C41 started down in 30th but finished second overall behind the sister Larbre Viper. It was raced twice again in 2001 with a fourth at Lédenon as the best result. The following year, it was entered by the French motorsport association (FFSA) and run by Oreca in the 24 Hours of Le Mans to promote young, talented drivers. Driven by Jean-Philippe Belloc, Benoit Tréluyer and Jonathan Cochet, it finished third in class, behind two two works Corvettes. After the race, it was sold on and it continued to be raced in the FFSA GT Championship between 2004 and 2006 by the Mirabeau Compétition and Sport Garage teams. Acquired by a Viper enthusiast, it was comprehensively restored ahead of the 2022 season during which it was demonstrated at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and raced at the Le Mans Classic.
