In 1985, it joined the longterm ownership of Allen Lawrence Klopp. Shortly after acquiring the car, he had a partial restoration carried out and it remained well maintained throughout his custodianship. In May of 2005, it was sold to another longterm owner. It was placed on display in the owner's collection and was not used until it was consigned to the 2022 Bonhams Zoute sale.
