Chassis:
The penultimate works 962C constructed, this car was actually built on what was originally designated chassis 962-158. Entrusted to Joest Racing for the 1990 24 Hours of Le Mans, it was fitted with a long-tail body and three-litre engine. Liveried in Blaupunkt colours, it was raced by Frank Jelinski, Derek Bell and Hans-Joachim-Stuck. They would start sixth and finished fourth overall behind two Jaguars and another 962C. The car was returned to Porsche and not raced again. Retired to the Porsche Museum collection, it was pressed back into service in 2022 for Porsche's celebration of the Group C 40th anniversary.
