Chassis:
Acquired new by Gianpiero Moretti of MOMO fame, this is the last complete Porsche 935 built by the factory. It was raced in the striking MOMO colours by Moretti throughout the 1979 season. His best result was third overall and first in class in the Giro d’Italia. Ahead of the 1980 season, it was sold to Jim Busby, who continued to race the 935. It was equipped with a 935 K3 body to ensure it remained competitive. Its subsequent owners continued to campaign the car at select events through to 1986. Its final outing was the Daytona 24 Hours, where it retired early with an oil leak. Following its contemporary racing career, chassis 930 990 0032 was restored to its original configuration. More recently, it was prepared for historic racing. In 2022, it was campaigned at the Le Mans Classic.
