Chassis:
Finished in Blutorange or Blood Orange, this is the unique Cabriolet bodied Turbo R. To ensure the drop-head body was up to the task, the Ruf engineers reworked the chassis to improve rigidity. The car was ordered new by a collector from Alpharetta, Georgia; Colonel Mark Haselton. Another great Ruf aficionado, Brent Martini, acquired the unique Turbo R Cabriolet from Colonel Haselton and displayed the Ruf at the Petersen Automotive Museum in 2021. It changed hands again shortly thereafter and was then consigned by the third owner to the 2023 Gooding Amelia Island Auction with three other Rufs from his stable.
