Chassis:
Completed in the summer of 1964, this 250 LM was sold new to the North American Racing Team. It was not used until the 1966 Daytona 24 Hours, when it was raced by George Follmer, Don Wester and Paul Hawkins. They failed to reach the finish due to an alternator failure on lap 428. It was subsequently sold to Raymond Augusterfer and changed hands several more times before it was acquired by Joseph Rosen in the early 1980s. It had just been restored and Rosen would go to regularly race and show the car at events around the country. Following a brief spell in Switzerland during the late 1990s, it joined the collection of a French collector and dealer. Having benefited from a complete restoration at hands of marque specialists DK Engineering but rarely seen since, chassis 5901 was consigned to headline the 2023 Artcurial Retromobile auction.
