Chassis:
Finished in Giallo Sole with a black leather interior, this Miura SV was fitted with the desirable split-sump lubrication system. It is believed to have been sold new through Rome-based dealer Carpanelli to an Italian living in Louisiana. The car passed through several collections in Idaho and Florida before it was acquired by Italian performance parts supplier Bill Young of Arizona. Then in 2001, it joined the collection of Randy Simon. He submitted the car to a four-year restoration at the hands of Bobileff Motorcar Company. During this period, the engine was rebuilt by legendary Lamborghini engine guru Bob Wallace. The Miura was painted Blu Notte at this point. Once the work was completed, it was shown at a variety of events before changing hands once more in 2011. Just over decade later, it was entrusted to RM Sotheby’s for their annual Arizona sale.
