Chassis:
Through Porsche Motorsports North America, this 911 GT3 R was sold new to Petersen Motorsports / White Lightning Racing. It was raced in the 2000 American Le Mans Series and also at the Daytona 24 Hours. The car debuted with a fourth in class at Daytona and ended the year in sixth in the GT class standings of the ALMS. In 2001, it was raced at Daytona again, finishing tenth overall and seventh in class and then was only used at the Texas ALMS round before being retired of active duty. The team retained the car through to 2003 when it passed to Lee Stack. He briefly campaigned the car in SCCA events and it was then part of the collection of two further American owners. In 2018, it was acquired by Maxted-Page Ltd., who comprehensively restored the car to its original configuration and famous Petersen / White Lightning livery. With the work completed, it was raced in several rounds of the 2022 Endurance Racing Legends series. At the end of the year, the engine was rebuilt and the GT3 R was subsequently offered for sale by Maxted-Page.
