Chassis:
Built ahead of the 2001 season, this Mk III C was acquired new by the Dyson Racing team. It was raced by Butch Leitzinger and James Weaver in select rounds of the American Le Mans Series. They were joined by Elliott Forbes-Robinson for the long distance events. The best result was a third at Mid Ohio after starting seventh on the grid. Not used in 2002, it was then sold to Michael Lewis, whose American Spirit Racing team fielded the car for himself and Tommy Drissi during the 2003 season. The team was renamed Autocon Motorsports for 2004 and it was raced by Lewis, Drissi and Bryan Wilman through to the end of the 2005 season. By that time, the Lincoln engine originally fitted had been replaced by the larger Elan V8. The next custodian was Mark Brannon, who re-painted the Riley & Scott red and fielded it in HSR events through to 2020. It was then brought to Europe by the Ascott Collection and restored to its 2003 Amerisuites livery. During the 2022 season, it was raced by Emanuel Brigand in the Endurance Racing Legends series. At the end of the year, he traded chassis 01-002 and it was subsequently offered by British dealer William IāAnson.
