Chassis:
Through Garage Spycher, this GTA was delivered new in early 1966 to Swiss racer Jean-Paul Humberset. He raced the car extensively well into the 1967 season in circuit races and hill-climbs, scoring a couple of class wins. In 1969, it was acquired by another Swiss racer Joe Kretschi. Fitted with extended rear fenders to accommodate wider tyres, it was driven to class victory in the ADAC Flugplatzrennen. Chassis AR613075’s final contemporary appearances came in the hands of another Swiss racer, Peter Wiederkehr, during the 1970 season. Like Humberset and Kretschi before him, Wiederkehr was successful with the GTA, scoring several class wins well into its fifth season of racing. At the end of the year Wiederkehr sold the GTA as it was rendered obsolete by the regulations to another Swiss enthusiast. Shortly thereafter, Wiederkehr actually bought the car back. During the following decades, it was cherished by its successive owners, which allowed it to survive in remarkable original condition. In 2016, it was shown at the Retromobile Show by KW Autos. Now owned by a Belgian enthusiast and prepared by specialist Furiani, it has more recently returned to the track.
