Chassis:
The very first GT2 specification Corvette C6.R built, this example debuted at the Mid Ohio round of the 2009 American Le Mans Series. Later in the season, at Mosport, it was driven to a GT2 class win by Johnny O’Connell and Jan Magnussen. It was campaigned throughout the 2010 season by Corvette Racing, including at Le Mans. At the end of the year, it was sold to the Larbre Competition team to race in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup. At Le Mans, it finished 20th overall and first in class with Patrick Bornhauser, Julien Canal and Gabriele Gardel behind the wheel. Chassis 001 continued be raced well into the 2013 season, making its contemporary final appearance at Le Mans. Restored to its Le Mans class winning configuration, it was eventually sold by Larbre Competition. In more recent years, it was acquired by a British historic racer. He had Foxcraft Racing, with the help of Corvette Racing, prepare the car for the Peter Auto Endurance Racing Legends. Sporting its 2010 works colours, it returned to the track in 2023.
