Originally finished in red with a beige interior, this is the 77th and last ‘Tour de France’ built. Completed in May of 1959, it was sold new to Luigi Taramazzo for 5,500,000 Italian Lire. He raced the car with some success in circuit races and hill climbs before selling it on to a Swiss enthusiast before the end of the year. The car was repainted gold with two narrow red stripes and continued to be raced by second owner Gérard Spinedi through to the fall of 1960. It then changed hands several times until it was acquired by Swiss collector Plinio Haas in 1976. At that time, it had been painted red again and fitted with a 250 GT Coupe engine. Haas raced the car in historic events for many decades, retaining the car until his passing in 2013. Through Marc Devis, it was acquired from the Haas’ son Felix by a Belgian enthusiast in 2014. The original was tracked down and re-installed during a comprehensive restoration that was completed in 2018. It was painted gold and fully Ferrari Classiche certified before it was shown at a select number of events. In 2023, it was consigned to headline the Bonhams Zoute Sale.
