Chassis:
One of three 512 TR Spiders built from Pininfarina in 1994, this is the only one finished in Blu Cobalto. It was commissioned by Alfred Tan of Hong Seh Motors, which was the Ferrari dealer in Singapore through which many of the special cars like this one were sold to the Sultan of Brunei. Alfred Tan decided to hold on to the 512 TR Spider for his personal collection. He used the car only sparingly but did show it at the Ferrari 50th Anniversary celebrations in Rome, in 1997. Rarely seen since, it was consigned along with a collection of very low mileage (Ferrari) sports cars to the 2023 RM Sotheby’s London sale. Having covered just 570 kilometres, this very rare 512 TR Spider is estimated to sell for GBP 2.1 - GBP 2.7 million.
