Chassis:
Finished in Grigio Notte with a red leather interior, this 250 GT Lusso was completed in August of 1963. It was acquired when new by Rimini resident Umberto Carli. Having changed hands once more, it was exported to California. Here it was part of the same North Hollywood based collection for 44 years. The long-term owner finally sold the car in 2014. It was immediately submitted to a three-year restoration at the hands of JD Classics. All the mechanicals were refurbished and the body was brought back to bare metal and then re-sprayed the correct grey and the red leather was re-trimmed. With the Ferrari Classiche certification pending, the fully restored 250 GT Lusso was consigned as one of the headliners to the 2023 RM Sotheby’s London sale.
