This very custom P1 received $139,847 worth of options from McLaren Special Operations. It was finished in a unique shade of metallic and also boasts distinct red stripes and flat-black and silver wheels. The interior featured custom finished carbon-fibre and seats upholstered with a pattern made famous by the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona in the 1970s. After it was completed, the P1 was also signed by both Ron Dennis and designer Frank Stephenson. Having enjoyed the car for two years, he sold it in 2017 to benefit his alma mater, the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Maintained at a high standard by McLaren of Philadelphia, it had completed just 2,700 miles when it was consigned by the second owner to the 2023 RM Sotheby’s New York auciton.
