Commissioned by its original owner in white with exposed carbon racing stripes and blue accents, this Mk2 was fitted with an additional $134,000 worth of options. These included a passenger seat, a Motec V2 camera, an on-board air-jack system and high-downforce dive-planes. Also included in the package was a silenced exhaust system that was not yet fitted and a set of spare wheels. While the car was ready to hit the track, it was only used for brief runs on the first custodian’s driveway. As a result, it only had a mere 27.3 miles on the odometer when it was consigned to the 2024 RM Sotheby’s Arizona sale.
