Chassis:
One of 56 Ghibli Spyders with the 4.7-litre engine, this example was completed in July of 1970. It was finished in metallic silver with a black leather interior, and equipped with Becker Grand Prix radio before it was dispatched to Foreign Car City of West Nyack, New York. By the the early 1990s, it received a cosmetic restoration and re-painted red with a black leather. In 2003, the Ghibli Spyder was acquired by Bob Kett, who entrusted the Maserati to KTR European Motorsports for a more comprehensive restoration. Once the work was completed, it was regularly used in long distance rallies before it changed once more in 2008. In more recent years, it was re-finished in a light metallic blue and fitted with alloy wheels. In 2024, it was consigned to the Bonhams Scottsdale Auction.
