Chassis: 741/1-2
Chassis 741/1 had debuted in the hands of Hans Joachim Stuck in the 1974 Argentinean Grand Prix. He used the first iteration of this car to considerable effect, finished fifth in South Africa and fourth in Spain, before destroying the tub in the Monaco Grand Prix. The car was built around a new tub but retained the 741/1 identity. Referred to 741/1-2, as not to confuse it with other tubs that used this identity, this chassis was used by Stuck, Reine Wissell and Vittorio Brambilla during the summer of 1974. Its Formula 1 career came to a sudden end when Stuck crashed the car at Brands Hatch during practice for the British Grand Prix. Identity 741/1 re-appeared a fortnight later but now using a third tub. The remains of 741/1-2 were acquired by a March mechanic. He kept the damaged tub and various suspension components in storage until 2018. Sold to a prominent Formula 1 collector, it was then rebuilt into a complete car by Chris Fox. Since the work was completed, 741/1-2 has been raced in the 2024 Zandvoort Historic Grand Prix and demonstrated at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
