Chassis:
The very first CCX production car, this example was acquired new by Norwegian Bård Eker, who was the largest Koenigsegg shareholder at the time. It was initially used for road testing to get the new model road certified. One of the elements of the test is a minimum mileage and chassis 7031 came out of the process with the odometer reading 18,698 km. This reportedly was not the actual mileage with the odometer likely advanced. As a pre-production vehicle, this car boasts some subtle unique features. It continued to be used for development purposes through to 2012 when it appeared in a Top Gear episode with large ‘CCXR’ and ‘Koenigsegg Official Testcar’ stickers. In 2013, it was placed into storage at the Rusdkogen circuit in Norway. It was fastidiously maintained, and rebuilt to 1,018 bhp, ‘R’ specification in 2014. Rarely seen since, it was consigned to headline the 2024 Bonhams Bond Street Sale.
