Chassis:
A brand new car built ahead of the 1998, this CLK GTR was allocated to Bernd Schneider and a young Mark Webber for the FIA GT Championship. The very last CLK GTR built to competition specifications, it was used as a stop-gap until the CLK LM was ready. This in no way compromised the Mercedes-AMG effort as the opening round was won by a sister car, and chassis 011 scored resounding victory in the British Empire Trophy at Silverstone. It was the last outing and victory for a works entered CLK GTR. Chassis 011 was retired to the Mercedes-Benz Museum before it was sold to Andreas Knapp Voith. It changed hands again in 2010 and it then passed to a longterm custodian in 2016. He had Cars International Service recommission the CLK GTR before it was demonstrated at Donington in 2022 and then shown at Pebble Beach in 2024. In 2025, it was offered for sale by British company Fiskens.
