Chassis:
Originally constructed in 1924, this 30/98 OE was rebuilt to competition configuration in 1933. Due to compete at Brooklands, it was finished to TT specifications with a new tourer body and a bespoke exhaust header for then owner Ronald Hughes. He raced the car with considerable success at Brooklands for several years and also set the fastest pre-War time at Shelsley Walsh. Hughes sold the car in 1943 but the fastest of all 30/98 Vauxhalls has continued to be raced by its successive owners to this very day.
