Chassis:
This is one of nine CTRs originally finished in the Blutengelb exterior colour that earned the model the ‘Yellowbird’ nickname. One of the very last CTRs built, it also benefited from the latest developments, which included a six-speed manual gearbox. It was finished in Leichtbau configuration with a Blaupunkt radio he only luxury fitted. It was commissioned by a German collector and upon delivery was stored in a climate controlled facility. The car remained with the original owner until 2020 and up to that point had not been registered for the road. Chassis 026 was then sold to an American enthusiast who also used it sparingly and never showed it. With a mere 1,673 km on the odometer, it was consigned in time-warp condition to the 2025 Gooding Amelia Island Auctions.
