Chassis:
A new 458 built to Grand Am or GTD specifications, this example was one of two acquired ahead of the 2014 season by Level 5 Racing. First used at the official Daytona 24 Hours test early in January, it was subsequently entered in the race for Terry Borcheller, Scott Tucker, Mike LaMarra. Guy Cosmo and Milo Valverde. Having completed 661 laps, it finished 23rd overall and sixth in class. A few weeks later, the suspension of Level 5 Motorsport’s racing activities was announced due to legal issues of the owner. The 458 Grand-Am did race at Sebring 12 Hours in March, now under the AIM Motorsport banner. Entered for Bill Sweedler, Maurizio Mediani, Townsend Bell and Jeff Segal, it crossed the line 24th overall. Not raced again, it was eventually acquired by French collector and broker Jean Guikas. Along with a large selection of his collection, the 458 Grand Am was sold at a dedicated RM Sotheby’s auction in November of 2021. Still in French hands and prepared by Equipe Europe, it has been used for historic racing since 2024.
