Chassis:
The 14th Ferrari F40 LM built by Michelotto, this example was delivered new to Swiss collector Walter Hagmann. He had the car fitted with a GTC specification engine and used at some private track events during 1993. It was also featured in the July, 1993 issue of the Swiss Auto Illustrierte magazine. Thereafter, it was rarely seen with the exception of the 1998 Motor Classic Show in Zurich. Hagmann sold the car in 2002 to a fellow Swiss collector and then bought it back in 2007 before selling it on shortly thereafter to a Munch based racer. He campaigned the car at several rounds of the 2009 Ferrari Maserati Historic Challenge. It was also certified by Ferrari Classiche during that year. Following a refresh at Michelotto during the mid 2010s, it was sold to the United States where it remained for five years before returning to Europe. In 2025, it was shown at the ModaMiami Concours and was subsequently consigned as one of the headliners of the RM Sotheby’s Monterey sale.
