Chassis:
The first of three F92 ATs produced, this car debuted at the French Grand Prix in the hands of Jean Alesi. During qualifying, he posted the sixth fastest time and then had a great run during the very wet race, proving the novel aerodynamics package did work. He was running as high as third before his engine expired on lap 62 of 69. Following another retirement at Silverstone, Alesi finished fifth with chassis 136 at the Hockenheimring. Fighting with Williams driver Nigel Mansell, Alesi then ran out of track during the Belgian Grand Prix. His team mate Ivan Capelli then took the helm for two Grands Prix both of which ended in retirement. Alesi gave chassis 136 its final contemporary outing at the Australian Grand Prix where he started sixth and ended up finishing fourth. Rebuilt at the end of the year, it was given a two-lap shakedown at Fiorano before it was presented to driver Jean Alesi. He brought the car home with him, to Avignon, and proudly displayed it in the gym of his villa for the next three decades. Untouched and still in highly original condition, it was then entrusted by Alesi to Artcurial Motorcars for the 2026 Automobile Legends sale at the Peninsula Hotel in Paris.
