Chassis:
Finished in Blu Sera with a beige leather interior, this 250 GT Lusso was acquired new by sculptor Renzo Pavanello through Bologna Ferrari agent S.I.V.A.M. S.r.l. in October of 1963. A true enthusiast, Pavanello covered 5,000 km before the end of the year. By mid-1966, the odometer read close to 50,000 km. Like so many of its contemporaries, chassis 4837GT was then sold to the United States. It changed hands several times over the next decades and was owned by noted collectors like Robert McClenegan, Don Orosco and Doug Mocket. In 2015, it was repatriated to Europe and restored on the owner’s behalf by Ferrari Classiche. It was returned to its original colours, ‘Red Book’ certified and configuration and subsequently shown at the Ferrari 70th Anniversary in Maranello. A decade later, it was consigned to the 2026 Gooding Christie’s Retromobile sale.
