The final 312 T3 built, this example was first used by Carlos Reutemann at the Swedish Grand Prix. The Argentinian qualified eighth and ran as high as third before he dropped back down the order to finish tenth. Reutemann raced the car four more times in 1978 with a seventh at Zandvoort as the best result. At the start of the next season, it was used by Gilles Villeneuve to place 12th in the Argentinian Grand Prix. The last contemporary outing came a fortnight later at the Brazilian Grand Prix where it served as a spare. Following its spell as a Scuderia Ferrari works car, it was spent many years in Italian ownership. In January of 2025, it was awarded Ferrari Classiche ‘Red Book’ certification. The following year, it was consigned to the RM Sotheby’s Monaco sale.
