Chassis:
Originally constructed in Stradale specification, this Stratos was immediately sent to specialist University Motors for a factory-approved conversion to full Group 4 specification. In June of 1976, it was entered by Jolly Club for Maurizio Ambrogetti for its first rally. It was then acquired by compatriot Antonio Codognelli, who would go on to field the Stratos in rallies through to 1983. While he mostly competed in local events, he also made an appearance in the 1977 Rallye Monte Carlo. Late that year, the Stratos was crashed heavily. It was rebuilt with the shell from 1682, which was renumbered 1754. Shortly after its period rallying career finally came to a close, it was sold to a longterm custodian. It was restored to full running order and re-finished in the livery of the Stratos used by Jean Claude Andruet in the 1980 Tour de France Automobile. After four decades in the same ownership, it was consigned to the 2026 Bonhams Monaco Sale.
