Featured is the first of two 246 S Dinos built. It was raced by the factory early in 1960 with a second in class at the Targa Florio as the best result. The season of '0778' was cut short by a heavy pit fire at the Nürburgring. Fully rebuilt the car was dispatched to NART, who entered it for the 1961 Sebring 12 Hours. Jim Hall and George Constantine drove it to a class victory. It remained in the US until Pierre Bardinon added it to his Mas du Clos collection in the 1970s. It has since only changed hands twice and will be offered by RM in ther Legenda & Passione Auction at Maranello in May of 2008.
