Chassis:
Little known Italian coachbuilder Rocco Motto was responsible for the somewhat unusual Spyder coachwork fitted on the featured 212 Export. In the 1950s Motto bodied a limited number of racing cars from a variety of manufacturers, combining elegance with light weight. Chassis '0094E' was raced with considerable success in minor events in Italy and Argentina. Since its return from South America, the unique machine has been owned by the same French collector. It is pictured above during the 2007 Retromobile and 2003 Tour Auto.
