Chassis:
One of a pair of works M8Fs built for the 1971 season, chassis M8F/1 was allocated to Peter Revson. He used it to score victories at Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen, Road America, Donnybrooke and Laguna Seca on the way to win the Can-Am championship. Sold to Gregg Young at the end of 1971, it was raced the following season by the hugely talented Frenchman Francois Cevert, who won at Donnybrooke. It was subsequently raced by Bob Brown for the Commander Motor Homes team and later also by Monte Shelton. The 1971 Can-Am championship winning car eventually joined the Rosso Bianco collection where it was completely restored to its original guise. Today, it is on permanent display in the Louwman Museum.
