Chassis:
The fourth from last 250 GT Europa built, chassis 0419GT was sold new to Garage Francorchamps in Belgium. The engine is fitted with 250 MM specification heads with larger ports but standard camshafts. It was raced by Olivier Gendebien, Jacques Swaters and Leon Dernier after being shown at the Brussels Motor Show in January of 1956. The car eventually left Belgium only to return in 2000. Since then it has been sold to an American collector, who submitted it to a full restoration by the Ferrari Classiche department. They carefully researched the history and brought the car back to its original configuration and paint-scheme. The final result was impressive enough to win the 'Trofeo BMW Group Classic' at the 2009 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este for the best restoration.
