Chassis:
Originally ordered by Ferrari board member Michel-Paul Cavallier, the featured 400 Superamerica combines the powerful four litre engine with the delicate shape of the legendary California Spyders. The unique machine was subsequently sold to Colonel Ronnie Hoare, whose Marenello Concessionaires was Ferrari representative in Great Britain. Only very rarely seen in public and certainly never shown any where, the car was bought by the current owner in the mid-1980s. Nearly fifty years after its conception the one-off Superamerica 'California' finally broke cover during the 2008 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance where the fiftieth anniversary of the 250 GT California was celebrated.
