Chassis:
This is the second of four JS11 tubs built by Ligier. It was used at the start of the 1979 season by Laffite to score victories in the Argentinean and Brazilian Grands Prix. He also added a second to its tally in Belgium. The car was subsequently raced by Laffite and Ickx but failed to finish at each occasion. As a JS11/15, it was entered in four more races. A third by Pironi in its final outing was the chassis' only finish of the year. It has since been carefully restored and is currently owned by an Italian collector. JS11/02 is seen here in action during the 2008 and 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed. During the 2010 edition, it was driving by multiple Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro.
