Chassis:
Chassis GT/108 was the first of four Roadster bodied GT prototypes built by Ford Advanced Vehicles. Along with its sister car, GT/109, it was shipped to Carroll Shelby for testing. Never raced it served as a test-bed for the ZF gearbox that would replace the troublesome Colotti 'box on the production cars. The car has remained in caring American hands ever since. Today it is the only GT Roadster that has survived in largely original condition. It is definitely the only one of the GT prototypes that still wears its original nose. Chassis GT/108's current owner brought it out for the 2010 Quail, a Motorsports Gathering where the 45th anniversary of the Shelby Mustang was celebrated. It has now been consigned to the 2014 RM Auctions Monterey sale with an estimate of $8 - $10 million.
