Chassis:
This is one of the final S-Type Invictas produced. Fitted with the familiar Carbodies coach-work, it was actively raced early in its life. The first owner campaigned 'S163' in the 1934 Tourist Trophy and at Southport Sands in 1935. At the end of the decade, the Invicta was sold to New Zealand. It remained there until it was repatriated in 1985 and completely restored. The current owner has managed to keep the car in a superb condition despite regularly competing in road rallies. In 2007 he brought the car to the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, where it is pictured here.
