Chassis: P34/8
This Tyrrell P34 was built up recently around an unused tub. It is believed that the tub had originally been used for a test fitting of a mock-up of the Renault V6 turbo engine. Ken Tyrrell nevertheless stuck with the Cosworth V8 engine for the 1978 season as he believed the Renault's poor reliability did not make a viable option yet. With the P34 project also cut short, this tub was never called into action. It was eventually completed for its Mexican owner with the original 1976 livery. He regularly uses the car in historic meetings.
