Chassis:
In his spare time Lamborghini's test driver and development engineer Bob Wallace put together a race ready version of the Miura. Dubbed Jota, after the appendix J racing class it was designed for, the racing Miura was more powerful and much lighter than the road cars. Unfortunately it remained just a test bed, and was sold two years after it was conceived in 1972. Shortly after it was completely destroyed in a heavy accident. Some of the modifications Wallace made were later found on the SV model. Lamborghini built a number a replicas of the Jota based on SV chassis.
