Chassis:
The very last Miura built, this example was a present from Italian industrialist Luigi Innocenti for his son Gianfranco. As per his order, a more powerful version of the V12 engine was fitted and the air-conditioning removed. The car was also the first ever tested by the now legendary test-driver Valentino Balboni. Innocenti only owned the car briefly and traded it in for a Countach at the end of 1973. It passed through several Italian hands and was also owned by the Swiss Lamborghini Club President before it was sold to a Swedish collector.
In 1998, chassis 5110 was acquired by noted Miura enthusiast and car dealer Simon Kidston. After driving the car for many kilometres, Kidston had the final Miura SV completely restored by the Lamborghini factory in 2013 with an eye on showing the car that year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance where Lamborghini was one of the featured marques. Before it was shipped to the United States, chassis 5110 was reunited with its original owner, Gianfranco Innocenti, and also with Valentino Balboni to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his first test drive. Their nod of approval was matched by the judges at Pebble Beach, who awarded it best in class.
