Chassis:
Chassis 4758 served as the rolling-test bed for the third evolution of the legendary Miura. Among the modifications fitted on the 'SV' were a strengthened chassis, revised rear suspension, ventilated brakes and better breathing for the engine. After its development duties the first Miura SV was shown in 'Fly Yellow' at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show alongside an earlier Miura and the Countach prototype. One month before the first production Miura SV was sold, chassis 4758 was delivered to a factory preferred dealership in Rome. The car remained in Italy for some years and was eventually sold to the United States via Germany.
When the current owner learned that Lamborghini would be one of the featured marques for the 2008 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, he handed the Miura SV Prototipo to renowned restorer Wayne Obrey. He meticulously restored the car and it was subsequently accepted for Pebble. Chassis 4758 participated in the Tour d'Elegance and lined up along with a dozen other special Lamborghinis on the Pacific coast shoreline. Against stiff competition, it won the third in class award. This very rare car was offered in Gooding & Co's 2011 Amelia Island auction. It sold for a recored-breaking $1,705,000 (including premiums).
