Chassis:
Chassis 102/4 is one of three surviving surviving examples of the Type 102. After its Formula 1 duties in 1990, it passed into the hands of Classic Team Lotus along with its sister cars. In recent years an ambitious project was started to get the car back to full running order. Classic Team Lotus had no working engine but Lamborghini proved willing to swap one of their V12s for one of the other two 102s.
Early in 2011 the restoration was completed and for the first time in 20 years a Lotus 102 Lamborghini was back in full running order. At that year's Goodwood Festival of Speed the car was driven by its new owner and also by a very brave Martin Donnelly, who was back behind the wheel of the very car that had ended his promising career.
